We have recently acquired a new plaque which is currently hanging in our museum. The plaque is dedicated to those patrons who have given monies to our museum for donations in excess of $100.00. This Donor's Hall of Fame plaque was generously donated by Pat Wilson of Wilson's Jewelry Store. As of this moment, there are many blank nameplates just waiting to receive your name, so won't you come down and donate?
If there are artifacts that you would be interested in donating to our museum which have significance to our town's history, we would love to hear from you about them! Please give us a call at 723-5477 to set up an appointment with our Curator, Trudy Wyman. We will need information about donated artifacts, such as: name and mailing address of donor, previous owners, dates, and any other interesting historical information (provenance) or stories you can add about the item. A donor form also needs to be signed.
Donations may also be made in honor of a special occasion or person, or in memory of a loved one. The person honored or the family of the person memorialized will receive a certificate which notifies them of your thoughtful gift in honor of them. The dollar amount may or may not be referenced according to your preference.
For tribute donations, please specify "in honor of" or "in memory of", the name of person or occasion being memorialized, address and person/s it is to be sent to, your name and address, and preference of dollar amount to be referenced or not. Check or money order in the amount of donation can be mailed to the address above for donations along with the information requested.
For patrons wishing to leave a legacy that will help us to continue to enrich the lives of our future generations by preserving the artifacts and stories of their heritage, bequests to the Millinocket Historical Society may be made through a will or trust.
